DMENTID (Christopher Perez) is a Bronx-raised, Brooklyn-based rapper, producer, and beat maker known for his raw lyricism and reality-driven sound. Born in Puerto Rico and immersed in hip-hop from an early age, DMENTID started rapping in middle school, recording his first tracks using Cool Edit Pro and forming the crew SIC. That creative spark led to him and his crew joining Spaded Hearts, a growing collective of talented emcees and artists.

The movement expanded with The Next Level, a larger crew of emcees, DJs, dancers, and graffiti artists, which dropped the compilation project N E Topic. As his vision sharpened, DMENTID launched Black Mob Ink, releasing The Unforgiven, before founding FNM Music Group, reconnecting members from Spaded Hearts, The Next Level, and new voices. During this time, he released the compilation This Is Just a Sample, solo projects Jolopero (2008) and Jolopero 2 (2012), and contributed to several underground staples across NYC’s battle-tested stages.

After a brief pause, DMENTID reignited momentum in 2020 with singles like “Give Away,” “Games,” and “Wishes,” followed by the 2022 album Aspire. He kept the pressure on with In My Head (2024), featuring standout tracks like “One More Shot,” “Clippin,” and “Lose My Cool.”

In 2023, DMENTID officially joined MooreBeats, expanding his production and creative network, and in 2025, leveled up with the album Fxxxing Happy, led by singles “Define That” and “Eventually,” and featuring collaborations with Rob Finesse, Mickey G, Mr. L, Daphya, LongLivephoenix, and The Commissioner.

Beyond his own artistry, DMENTID is a sought-after producer with credits on The Commissioner’s Yappin, Mickey G’s upcoming Corlitas Diamond, Rob Finesse’s I Am Finesse!, and beats on LongLivephoenix’s upcoming “Don’t Leave Me.”
